SMEP - Supplier Markup Evaluation Program
To choose the right plant for the manufacture of circuit boards requires experience of PCB manufacturing, Multi-Teknik has developed its own program for evaluation and rating of factories. The system is based on the continuous collection of data from the factories, and for all deliveries taking place from the introduction of new plant to current audits in place. In our evaluation process we check among other things financial, technical, environmental, occupational health, skills, and not least the quality and delivery precision.
Selection Process
We are looking in the areas we are interested in, or the factories themselves are approaching us. At this stage, we sort out the common traders. The factory's size according to the number of employees is examined.
Exploratory
We examine the manufacturer's ability to produce different types of pcbs and what is appropriate volumes.
Evaluation 1
An in-depth analysis of the manufacturer's capability, quality systems, environmental policy, health care, etc.
Evaluation 2 - SMEP (Supplier Marks and Evaluation program)
Audit, Test orders of typical pcbs and volumes are made. Statistics and ratings starts to be measured.
Evaluation 3 - SMEP
Ramp up of more different types of circuit boards to the appropriate volumes and delivery times. Extended scores. At this stage the manufacturer can be "approved" as a supplier. Enhanced auditing made by Multi-Teknik engineers.
Regular Assessment - SMEP
The manufacturer is measured regularly with SMEP (quality, delivery reliability, service .. etc) at the standard grade. Unannounced audits of our engineers, interspersed with annual briefings on site. If some degree of deterioration can be measured, the manufacturer may submit to the "Evaluation 3" until the necessary measures and values are restored.
